Fees for psychological consultations

Consultation fees

In-person and online psychotherapy sessions are offered at the same rate and are aligned with established clinical practice.

Individual consultation

  • €70 — 60 minutes
  • €90 — 90 minutes

Couples therapy

  • €120 — 90 minutes

Family consultation / family therapy

  • Price depends on the number of family members

Psychologist in Altea | Private Health Insurance & Reimbursement System

Private psychological care and health insurance

This practice provides private health psychology services in Altea (Alicante), in accordance with Spanish healthcare regulations and professional practice as regulated by the Official College of Psychology of the Valencian Community (COPCV).

Patients with Spanish and international private health insurance are accepted through the reimbursement system, based on free choice of professional.

The practice does not have direct billing agreements or service contracts with insurance companies.

How does the reimbursement system work?

  1. The patient pays the full session fee directly.
  2. An invoice is issued in accordance with Spanish tax regulations.
  3. The patient submits the invoice to their private health insurer.
  4. The insurer reimburses the amount covered under the policy.
  5. The reimbursed percentage or amount depends exclusively on the individual policy conditions.

Prior verification with the insurer

Before booking an appointment, patients must:

  • Confirm that their policy includes reimbursement coverage.
  • Verify the maximum reimbursable amount per session.
  • Check whether a clinical report, diagnostic code or medical referral is required.
  • Confirm whether the professional must be part of a specific provider network.

The practice does not guarantee reimbursement approval or the final reimbursed amount.

Patients with private health insurance from the following regions are attended:

  • United States
  • Nordic countries
  • Other non-EU countries

In all cases:

  • Services are governed by Spanish healthcare legislation.
  • Invoices are issued in accordance with Spanish tax law.
  • Patients are responsible for verifying reimbursement eligibility in their country of origin.

Fees for psychological consultations; If a patient requests clinical documentation for insurance purposes:

  • Personal and health data will be processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 (LOPDGDD).
  • Clinical information will only be provided with the patient’s explicit written consent.
  • Transmission of data to international insurers may involve international data transfers under the applicable legal framework.
  • Responsibility for subsequent use of this information lies exclusively with the receiving insurance entity.

Cross-border online therapy

Online therapy services are provided in accordance with:

  • Spanish healthcare legislation
  • The ethical code of the COPCV
  • Applicable European regulations on digital services

Patients are responsible for verifying that receiving online psychological services from their country of residence does not violate local regulations.

Insurance liability disclaimer

This practice assumes no responsibility for:

The therapeutic relationship is independent of the contractual relationship between the patient and their insurer.

Jurisdiction and applicable law

The professional relationship is governed by Spanish law.
